Medical disclaimer
This website contains a great deal of clinical information, written carefully and reviewed by a surgeon. It still cannot diagnose you. Here is exactly what it can and cannot do.

Information, not diagnosis
Everything on Ari Ortho is published for general education. It is written to help you understand what might be wrong, what the treatment options are, and what questions to ask — so that a consultation is more useful and less frightening.
It is not a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or medical advice for your particular situation. Two people with identical scans frequently need entirely different treatment, which is the central reason a website cannot substitute for an examination.
Do not delay getting help
Never delay seeking medical assessment, or disregard advice you have already been given, because of something you have read here.
If you have any of the following, seek care today rather than waiting for an appointment:
- A hot, red, swollen joint with a fever, or feeling generally unwell.
- A limb that is numb, cold, pale or has no pulse.
- A visibly deformed or dislocated joint.
- Being unable to bear any weight at all after an injury.
- Sudden breathlessness or chest pain, particularly after surgery.
- Calf pain and swelling after surgery or a period of immobility.
Timeframes and outcomes are typical, not promised
The recovery timelines on this site describe what usually happens for most patients having that procedure. They are drawn from published evidence and clinical experience, and they are given because patients deserve concrete answers rather than vague reassurance.
Your own recovery will depend on what is found during the operation, your general health, your age, your other joints, how you rehabilitate, and factors nobody can predict. No surgeon can guarantee an outcome, and nothing on this site should be read as a guarantee.
Patient stories
Patient journeys are published with their provenance stated on the page. Entries labelled as verified reviews are published in the patient's own words with their written consent. Entries labelled as representative journeys describe genuine clinical patterns and realistic timelines but are not transcribed from a named individual.
In either case, another person's outcome is not a prediction of yours.
No doctor–patient relationship
Reading this website, or sending a message through it, does not by itself create a doctor–patient relationship with Dr. Dipen Ariwala. That relationship begins at a consultation.
Messages sent by WhatsApp or email are not monitored continuously and should never be used for anything urgent.

Where this site links to other organisations, it does so because the material is thought to be useful. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content or accuracy.
Keeping it current
Every clinical page on this site carries the date it was last reviewed. Medicine changes, and pages are updated rather than left to age. If you find something that appears out of date or incorrect, please tell us.
